Superman saves family...

...from becoming homeless.

This not only makes you feel good but also makes you wonder how many more copies of Action #1 are out there, waiting to be discovered.

You know this sounds a little too fishy for me. Someone needs to dig deeper.

They are about to be forclosed, and find some old comics and low-and behold is an ACTION #1 That saves them. The most valuable comic in existance that has had some "Action" in sales/value recently.

This could just be some publicity stunt to bring attention to the book.

IF it is true I'd like to know what other comics and magazines were found with it - there's got to be more to the story.

T.V. Barnum - I don't find it fishy. The comic is not a current product that could benefit from publicity, and the family requested anonymity.

What I ment was publicity for the the auction itself.

Still it does seem too good to be true.

Oh, I see. But I still don't think it's a PR issue. Action #1 doesn't need hype or sentimentality (real or fabricated) to catch attention!
